Johnston-Hopkins Elementary

Greetings Johnston-Hopkins Family,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter to introduce myself as the principal of Johnston-Hopkins Elementary School. I am truly honored to serve in this role and look forward to continuing my educational journey here, in this capacity. I can assure you that I am committed to working diligently for the betterment of teachers, students, staff, and the community. Working together, we will continue to provide students with an enriching school experience.

I have dedicated fourteen years of service to the Iberia Parish School District, by way of Hopkins Street Elementary and Johnston-Hopkins Elementary. My experience has allowed me to  educate the little minds of Kindergarteners, serve as an NIET mentor, School-wide Behavior Master Teacher, Crisis Team Leader, DA Gatekeeper, 3-6 Math and Science NIET Master Teacher, PBIS Team Leader and Assistant Principal.

This principalship will provide the chance to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, while remaining connected to our students’ learning and growing in the classroom. As an educator, I believe wholeheartedly that every child deserves a quality and equitable education. I believe that every child can excel. The partnership between home and school builds confidence in students to use their knowledge and skills to shape their future and the future of our community and our nation.
